Love is magic, mystery, and way beyond.
It is the most personal and most humane experience.
It is the All and the Nothing.
It wants to unfold.
It wants innocence, courage, and
Surrender, often allowed
Through desperation

Can you love the one that is afraid?

Afraid to open the heart?
Afraid to let go of protection?
Afraid to be vulnerable?
Afraid of the sacred wound?

Can you love the one who lost her/his innocence?
Who firmly believes that innocence cannot be lived?
Who deep inside has anchored the knowledge
Innocence is only for infants?
For babies? For small children?
Never for grown–ups?

Can you love the one who is in pain,
Afraid of it, yet amasses more and more?
Can I accept everything in life?
And then say to anybody and anything
"I Love You"?

Can I embrace all the suffering,
The depth of the human wound?
And in embracing
Actually trusting
In my own strength
And in life?

Love is truly
The most extraordinaire journey,
It cannot be understood,
It can always be lived.
